Jessel SBC Belt drive conversion for LT1 w/ front distributor

I couldn't wait till the shootout to show it off so here is a few pics of the new setup.

Jessel sbc belt drive with front mount distributor on a LT1, a few guys have done it in the past but not a lot of talk about it, nor pics.

ya finished worked great with the xfi, look for a pic in GMHTP in the coming months.

The car went a new best at this years LTX Shootout

11.07 at 128 first pass off the trailer, i had some electric issues with the xfi and didn't make another clean pass all day.

Just ordered up a 4.71 gear set for all motor, the 4.11's were killing it without the bottle.

Where are you shifting at? I would guess you are spinning that monster up pretty high.

only 6400 on that first pass 11.07, i haven't checked the tune past that. With the SR and the 4.71 , it needs to be shifting around 7500rpm

That is a nice looking set up. I wish I would have thought about doing that. I have some plans for the windshield, hood, cowl and if I decide not to do that I may switch over to a set up like this.
