Jegs Damper

Has anyone tried the Jegs Damper for the LT1 engines? I am asking because I need/want to purchase a new damper for my stroker and I thought the Jegs brand would be an inexpensive quality piece. Opinions please.

the nice thing about the pioneer.it uses the stock balancer hub and it is pressure bonded. and it isnt made in f*** n china it is made in Austria . so far it
ben good .but i think if it was me building a 383 i would get a fluid damper
balancer.

Well, if I use the stock hub I will have to have it notched for a key since my crank is keyed.

All the cranks, including the stock one, are keyed. Not essential to key the hub, unless you have a blower running off the crank snout.

Is the JEG's damper SFI-rated? NHRA requires it if you plan to run under 11.00-seconds.

So, instead of going aftermarket, I guess it is okay to replace my old damper with another stock one?
