It's running... 230/236 Cam.

Ok, I got a 230/236 Cam on 111LSA with Combination Motorsports Stage II heads.
No times or dyno yet, hopefully I will have the car on the dyno this week and at the track right this Saturday.

Should have some times for all of you..

If you want to listen to it.

230/236 Cam File size is 2.3mb

Badass man! If mine sounds remotely close to that (which is should since it's pretty much identical except mine is 112lsa and yours was 111), I will be the happiest man on the planet. :-)

awe man, you gave up on the hot cam?!?! your car was like the fastest hotcam'd car on this board. I was amazed at how fast you got your car to go on that cam. using the same determination you had with the hc, your car should really hustle now. sweet cam, let us know the results on the innitial run.

Now I can't wait to get mine in. First I have to get a car, sold the one I had at the time. Only diff is mine is on a 110LSA. I know one other guy on this board that has this cam IN, and he says it sounds awsome. You guys are really making me jealous

I've got the same cam in my car... Well, 230/236 "HL" grind. On a 110LS though. Having some issues where I can't rev past 6k right now. Still troubleshooting it and hope to have it figured out soon.

But the cam does show a lot of promise .. Short-shifting @ 5k - vs. 6800 or so <- where it should peak @ w/ my setup... I ran a best of an 8.14@84.5mph in the 1/8 ~ and a bunch of 12.8's @103-104mph.. I had to shift into 5th @ the 1000' mark. My "powerband" w/ my CC306 was from 4k-6.6k. Best ET I managed out of that was a 11.9@115mph. W/ the 230/236 - my powerband was moved way down to 2400rpms - 5k. And still it ran a 12.8. It's gonna run easy 11's I think once I can run it to it's full potential.

running down the track..

That's with the idle setting about 1000-1050 rpm.
The cam is an XL grind.
Took it for a spin last night and really only got on it once, it pulled nicely up to 6,000 that's when I lifted off than. The car pulls very nicely.

You can tell there is some cam surge to it, but with high stall converter it takes some of the cam surge away.

The poly-engine mounts are working great. The keep the motor pretty solid in place.

The car has a 52mm TB with 30# SVO Injectors, of course it has a dual setup exhaust running through some Hooker LT's.

Need to heat cycle it some more to break in the springs and check header bolts.

Thumbs up

I can't wait to get my installed. It is just sitting in garage right now.

But I have this weekend's track day, then I can start tearing it apart.

Sounds alot lumpier than mine. SWEET!!

Mostly cuz my longer stroke swallows alot of my idle.

Vid in sig.
