Its got a big Crack!!!!
I discover a big stress crack on my right front ZR1 wheel!!
I was flushing my radiator when I decided once and for all to find out how to remove the Coolant overflow tank to clean it for the first time in.....8 years!! so I removed the Tire and set it aside... well I finally removed the coolant reservoir and while cleaning it..... God directed my eyes to my Wheel I had resting on the side...and What the F... is that!!! My eyes popped out of my head and my pupils rested on that big azz crack on my Rim!!!
The crack starts at the edge of the lip and goes down and turn inside the Rim!!
Anyone in Hawaii fixes rims??? I now in California its easy to find but by the time I ship it, have it fixed and returns I may aswel have purchased a brand new one...
Anyone in here can help??
Its the 17x9.5 ZR1 replica....

I sent an E-mail to AFS yesterday. Thats where I bought them brand new... They havent replied yet.
I dont mind buying a brand new one, its just that I heard those guys who repaired rims do a really good job... I once heard of one guy here on the board who had the original salad shooters widened to fit 315,s and he was so very pleased with the work done and I cant recall who he was but I remember on his web page he mentioned it was cheap.
Or did I dream the whole thing?? He even has pics on his webpage...

I bought them brand new with a new set of tires too... that was about 2 or 3 years ago... AFS give you a 1 year warranty.
I posted the thread on this board the same day I noticed the crack in the rim... It is on the inside lip.. there hasnt been any damage or contact with anything on the rim on that side... I did have a very small scratch on the outer side of the rim though.. but it was while I was parking the rim rubbed against the curbside and just scratched the paint... nothing to put any stress of any kind on the rim.
Oh I would say I have aboout 20k miles on them.
