Issue with cooling fans on my 93

I just installed a new opti and waterpump and Air temp sensor and hypertech thermostat and both coolant sensors. Here is the problem. When I UNPLUG the Air temperature sensor the cooling fans come on at 180ish and when the sensor is plugged in the temperature goes all the way up to 240 before the fans kick on. Now I dont have any engine lights but when I unplug the light the SES light comes on when the fans come on because there is no sensor availbale.

Please help.

Tim

Any time the SES light comes on, it will turn the fans on. Our temp gauges arent acurate at all and read a bit high, as lomg as it doesnt go in to the red your cool.

the only thing you can do is, get a chip to turn them on at different temps or a manual fan switch
