iron heads and 1.6rr's

I have a iron headed LT1 and need to know if i would be able to use non SA 1.6RR's....... i know there is not a screw in stud to be used for a guideplate.

To run non-SA you would need to pull the pressed studs and tap them for screwin and have them cut so there is a flat spot for the stud to clamp the guideplate too. Doable but not at home. The screwin studs can actually be done at home Proform sells a tool for pulling the studs and aligning the tap, but some go into the intake ports so the heads have to be pulled even if just going screwin.
