intermittent low speed miss - was low dyno numbers

I posted a couple of weeks ago about low dyno numbers.

low dyno thread

I changed the plugs and wires, and that seemed to clear up the problem. The car seems much more powerful now. It also sounds much better, less raspy. I had one cylinder that was completely dead - the plug was bright and shiny. That had to be playing havoc with the mixture on that side of the engine. So, the good news is that I made 306 rwhp on only seven cylinders, and three of those had to be running rich due to the dead cylinder.

The bad news is that now I have an intermittent miss that seems to come on only after the car is good and hot. The problem is that the miss is only evident some of the time. For example, going to full throttle in 6th gear only causes it about half of the time.

Everything worked for a few days after I changed out the plug wires. I don't see any arcing of the wires in the dark. So now what? Any suggestions?

Sounds like a broken valve spring to me. Had a problematic miss that matches your symptoms. Mine was the #7 cylinder exhaust.
