intermittent code 13

(left o2 open circuit) so is it normal for it to be intermittent? it will come on when i am doing city driving but if i get on the highway or speeds over 50mph the light will not come on.

on another note, dunno if its related, i was sitting in line at the drive thru in park and after a couple minutes the rpms jumped up to ~1100 then dropped right back down to 850. then i pulled up and parked to eat my burger and it did it again. when i pulled out accelerating there was a slight hesitation. it did this a couple times before i pulled into the grocery store. when i left the grocery and drove the 15 miles back home it did not act up at all. the hesitations never thru a code but on the way home while in the city it thru on the light for code 13 then went away once i hit the back roads and picked up speed. any ideas? are they related?

Maybe the internal heater is dead/bad connection.
If the sensor cools down the signal will disappear and since the PCM biases the voltage halfway, it might think there is no sensor at all.

Pull the sensor and put 12v to the 2 heater wires. They will have continuity to each other of a couple ohms, but neither will have continuity to the metal case. They will be adjcent wires in the connector. And if it's a bosch sensor they're probably both white.

Burned wires on LT's. We all had one problem or another with wires and LT's.
