Intermediat low RPM miss

My car has recently developed a low RPM miss, from idle-2K sometimes, and it doesn't do it all the time, mabey 1 in 10 times starting off, or if I'm cruising at ~1500-2K and I give it more gas it just misses. It kind of feels like I'm hitting a rev limiter, but its still accelerating. I have a new opti, new plugs, new wires, and a new coil, but it's still doing it. The only thing that I haven't changed in my ignition is the ignition control module, do you guys think thats it?

Do you have a link for that? It does it when the engine is cold and warm though.

My plugs/wires/opti/coil are all less than a month old, and none of the wires are burnt at all. They aren't even close to touching the headers.

I have something similar going on. At low rpm I will get a miss and if I let off the gas then get back in it will be fine. It only happens a couple of times per week. I have already done the cooling mod though. I recently did the plugs and wires also.

Do you get what seems like a really rich pop coming out of the tail pipe once the car is warmed up and idling?

I do, some times the car idles a little high as well. MY opti an plugs are a few months old as well as the plug wires, im wondering if its something fuel related.

Re: Intermediat low RPM miss

It's getting worse and doing it more often. It pops every once in a while while its missing. The injectors are only a few months old so I doubt its that, and it doesn't seem down on power when its not missing so I doubt its a bad fuel pump. I guess I'm just going to try the ICM and see if it works.

Re: Intermediat low RPM miss

Pull your plugs and gap them at .035. That will take the load off of the opti and wires.
Bet it will run better.

Re: Intermediat low RPM miss

Well the 02's didn't fix it, new autolight 106's are going in tomarrow, and I'm going to gap them at .045, the same as they are gapped now.
