Here are a couple tips that might help you install your intake manifold better:

1. Always chase clean the intake threads, it makes a huge difference. Use a tap gentley if you have to, but a thread cleaner is best, summit has a nice set from Tavia for like $30.

2. Don't go crazy with the RTV near the inside of the lifter valley, but feel free to use generous amounts outside the engine to help ensure sealing.

3. I don't recommend using the factory intake bolts more than twice, I found mine we stipped pretty bad, despite always torquing them perfectly. Once I replaced them the install went much easier.

4. Always torque the intake down in proper order to the proper spec.

Hope this helps,
-Christian

My one bolt is stripped, but the it isn't just a rounded head, the bolt will not tighten up. It needs to be retapped, but I don't know how to do that or if I can. It is the second bolt from the front of the intake manifold on the passenger side. it has the stud to connect the alternator bracket onto. All other bolts are tight, I should still be alright shouldn't I?
