Re: intake oil leak

I wasn't certain with mine. It seemed like oil was all over the motor. The front, rear, sides, top, bottom. I'd been searching for ever with a flashlight and mirror, but couldn't track it down. Then one day, I was pulling out of the driveway, and a rather large stream of oil followed me.

I decided to bite the bullet, and chance that it was the intake manifold. Fixed that up in a buddys garage, took us a few hours. Car hasn't leaked a drop since.

Re: intake oil leak

Just run your fingers along the seam where the rear of the intake manifold meets the block. If there is fresh oil, you have a leak.

You can also get a oil dye kit from a parts store put it in your oil, then drive it for a day then check the oil leak with a blacklight.
