Intake Maniforld questions

Purchased a 1994 Z28 a few months ago and it appears to have the famous LT1 intake manifold leak. Have read several of the threads and fixes, but have a couple of questions. What size (and thread) are the intake manifold bolts? Wanted to make a couple of studs to align the intake when installing. Do you need to purchase a EGR pipe gasket (for the connection on the back of the intake manifold) or can this gasket be re-used?

3/8 Inch-16 I'm pretty sure - you might find some studs in that thread and just put a couple on one side to use as guides. I never did though, and i've done it a bunch of times. Your egr gasket may come apart, or it might be reusable - they're pretty cheap new though.

Thanks for the info on the bolts....was looking at the FelPro intake gasket set and it appears that the EGR pipe gasket may be included.

I didn't receive EGR gaskets with fel-pro intake manifold gaskets that i have bought before. Just FYI, if you go to get EGR gaskets, there are 2 different ones that you need, so if you are trying to be prepared, be sure to get both!

I bought Fel-pro intake gaskets from Autozone and it came with manifold gaskets w/ clips, TB gasket, EGR gasket, 8 fuel injector o-rings, and RTV sealant.

use copper seal rtv on the front and back mating surfaces to the block, lay it down nice and thick and you probably will not have another leak again.
