Intake Manifold
If you don't have experience in porting do not attempt it. Leave it alone unless you want new heads and then have someone experienced do it for you. Black or red and polish the center strips to make it look nice and shinny. I would hook up the fuel rails with a good polish if you can get to them properly (JMO). Pictures of a LS1 with painted intake and polished fuel rails.

A tip I'm sure you'll hear often about this troublesome gasket...take your time and do it right the first time. Better to spend an extra hour doing it thoroughly, rather than having to do it again a few months later when it starts leaking again. (yeah, I learned the hard way)
ok i just finished with my intake the other day. Now i have a problem. Whenever i get close to or past half throttle the car studders and stumbles like crazy. Does this sound like i got coolant on my opti? I was careful and tried not to get any on it, but maybe i did. Does this sound like thats what happened?

He probably didn't do a TB bypass.
Mine doesnt have the TB bypass on it and there really wasnt anything come out......Also while i'm on that subject, is there any downsides to the TB bypass......it been from like -14 up to about 15 degrees around here and i wondered if that would have any effect.
i was thinking i might have gotten coolant on the opti when i disconnected the line to the throttle body as it had coolant in it and some poured out. I will check all the lines etc as soon as i get a chance.
