Intake gasket for a LT4 the same as LT1?

Went to buy an intake gasket set for my LT4 today, and I told them specifically LT4 for a '96 Corvette since that's what car they primarily came in, and the part counter said that they only show 1 part# for that year for a 5.7......could that be right?
Maybe a generic gasket that would fit both an LT4 and LT1...I thought the runners were different sizes.

LT4 should be a taller gasket.

There should be two intake manifold gaskets for the LT4.

One is the regular replacement.

The other I think is a GMPP replacement that supposedly does not block the ports like the original... known as the "7777" gasket because of the part #.

I would ask the dealer again, and make sure he is looking up the right part. The LT4 VIN engine code is "5", LT1 is "P".

The pn you want is 12367777 for the LT4 heads/intake.

Thanks all for the info, I was figuring they'd be a little different since LT4 intakes or heads aren't direct bolt-ons without having both.

Don't get that LT4 pn, get the "7777" gasket.

Been there done that and have pix....LT1 and LT4 intake gaskets are different.

Did you know that if you use LT1 on the LT4 stuff and it rains that the cylinders can fill with rain water? Now how that much water got on the engine I have no idea but it has happened....

the LT1 and LT4 gaskets are different. When I rebuilt my LT4 I was accidentally sent LT1 intake gaskets. The ports do not match nor do the alignment/rataining pins.

I guess the only place I can get the '7777' or the other LT4 gasket is the dealership. Neither Fel-pro nor Victor have an intake gasket that matches the 2 LT4 part#s given above.
