Just got back from a weekend at the track and i am realy upset. Car runs 13.8 or 13.9 allmost evey run some times a 13.7. I dont understand y mods are in the sig. 373 gears build trani borla exhust intake msd. i seen people with less click better times then me. I think its in the tune or in the stall maybe? its 2400 now

Is that time with you spraying? If it is I would say there is some issued for sure. If those times are n/a then I don't think they are too far off.....

 

Just be happy you arnt me (the time in my sig was ran w/o the A/C compressor in either)

I think the body kit and wing might be slowing you down! No, I'm kidding. What does a stock Z28 run? The guy I bought my 95 from claims it will run high 12's-low 13's, but he doesn't know what has been done to it performance wise. Now I'm a little more skeptical of that hearing this.

I bought the car from a friend of mine, but it's waiting for me in California when I get home from Japan next week. So I'll see what it will do then I guess.

 

Seriously though, with the body kit and the sound system you have, you're adding some serious weight to the car. Add to that the ZO6 rims which, if they are 18's, are probably getting fairly heavy themselves. You also need to post what your altitude was and what the weather was like when you ran. If you ran those times on a hot day in Denver, I'd say your doing well, but there are many variables.

I don't pretend to be an expert here, but I know that these guys can probably tell you exactly what's going on if you give them more information.

Out of all that crap I only see the following power or ET reducing mods:

150 shot
Mac headers & exhaust
gears.

What I do see a lot of is heavy stuff weighing your car down and turning it into a fat pig. 100lbs off a car = 1/10th sec of ET. I see probably 250 extra lbs worth of stuff on the car, maybe more since stereo stuff and body kits are heavy. So that's like .3 slower than what you could be.

Now, were you spraying that run or not? What about your 60ft time? If the 60ft time was much over 2.0 then you need the driver practice mod.

 

when i go to the track all the audio comes out amps and subs. i am racing at moroso in south fla. Last time i went to the track i weighed it at 3700lbs.
The last run of the weekend looked like this:

Anyways, Moroso sucks, but you should still be running better times than that. Maybe next time I'm at the track we can meet up, and I'll take a look at it for you.

So your car is runnins 13.8's with a 3:73 gear and an exhaust system. What tires? Are you spinning the wheels? for a full exhaust car and gears you shouldnt be running all that much faster especially if those Z06 wheels are 18's! Maybe you are losin power somewhere but i think that your practice and a scan of all your sensors could find your lost performance but i dont think its gonna be all that much. How many miles on the car? The thing may just be tired and needs a freshening up. I dont know how much more you are expecting outta this car. If you are spraying and ran a 13.8 id be worried, but you arent spraying you said.
