Intake elbow

i just pulled my intake elbow off to check out my throttle body. It turns out my intake elbow had a huge tear in it on the bottom side. This would explain the lost in the brakes from the low vacum. The car has been running funny from a stand still, it kinda is slow to take off and then just comes on very fast. Anyway has anyone every made a intake elbow??? or do you know where i can get a good replacement???

Yea to get a new intake elbow you have to go through the chevy dealership and the elbows cost like a couple hundred dollars. or look on ebay, i had the same problem and i got a used elbow for like 30 or somethin, or check any junk yards if you want to find one for cheap and not pay a few hundred for a piece of rubber.

Re: Intake elbow

I dont really get the point in metal elbows. Wont they get heatsoaked and eventually heat the air in your intake? Go with a 1LE elbow. I was retarded and bought it at a dealer for 115 somethin. People say it flows better than the stocker but it looked to be the exact same thing without the silencer?

Re: Intake elbow

If you want to stay stock looking, look into the 1LE elbow. It doesn't have the hole in the bottom and it doesn't have that "dong" that hangs down real far....I've seen them for $50-$75...

Re: Intake elbow

I picked up my 1LE elbow on this board from someone parting a car out for $40.

The Trickflow elbow is ceramic coated. This is to keep heat OUT.
