INT. or EXT crank? Which one is the right one?
If you're building a motor, I would go int. It is better but more expensive. You would have to make sure that the weight is removed from you're flywheel or flexplate. Stock lt1's are external balance. The difference is an internal balance motor has holes or weights put on the crank to balance the rotating assembly. On an ext. the weights are put on the flywheel or balancer. Int balance is what most built motors are and most stock motors are ext just because it's cheaper to manufacture.
