We aren't too bad about bashing, unless we sense that you are a total moron.
Anyway, with your problem... You simply need to run your negative wire to the battery or to any bolt that is grounded on your car (any bolt! doesn't matter) Then run your positive wire to a switch mounted in your car. Then from the switch directly to your battery's positive terminal. Its really quite a trivial procedure. Just use heavy enough gauge wire. Good Luck!

Edit: Another option to save your battery is to run the positive wire to a switched source. (i.e. radio fuse) so that when you turn your car off your lights will go off as well. Just so you don't accidentally leave it on and kill your battery.
O yea and personal opinion (which is mine alone) Neons look like *** on Camaros when not tastefully done. If you use a normal color such as Red or Orange or maybe... Yellow, then that will be good, but go purple and green and you should be shot!

Neon lights aren't rice...they were in hot rods and Lowricers before Honda even saw a glow tube! REmmebr? half the Rice trends started on hotrides...suicide doors...shaved handles... Molded kits...neon trims...chameleon paint ETC ETC. It's just a rip off trend...but... If you want to wire up neon lights it's simple...Just run the connect the Black wires to gether and run them to a ground some where onthe chassy run the hot red wire to a switch and run that wire from the swith to the battery..make sure to run like a 15amp fuse along the red "hot" line too...vwala! you now have working interior neons.
Hmm.. I tried this once. I ran them directly to the battery, but the lights did not work.
Apparently there is a small transformer in the "cigarette adapter" part of the light... if that's the case with yours then running the wires directly won't work.
