installing AS&M headers...

installing AS&M headers...

can i leave the egr valve connected if i undo the other air tubes that go into the headers. i dont have anything to block off the hole with on the egr valve, but i do for the tube. would this cause any problems?

You mean you are going to leave the EGR valve open that connects to the intake manifold cover?

BAAAAD Idea.

Just get the delete covers.

Look here. If you're saying that you have the delete cover for the exhaust manifold end of the egr exhaust gas feed pipe, then you CAN reconnect the intake manifold end with pipe still connected to the manifold. You just want to make sure that the both the intake manifold and the exhaust manifold have no chance on leaking. If you don't have both delete covers you can ghetto fab one out of a some aluminum from a pop can or something.

If you mean you want to leave the EGR connected and disconnect the AIR tubes, there would be no problem with that. Both systems are seperate and operate independantly.

yeah, thats what i mean. i plugged off the air tube but im just going to leave the egr valve alone...
