installing an air/fuel gauge

installing an air/fuel gauge

I have a 95 Z28 and i was wondering if i have to buy a wide band or narrrow band air/fuel ratio gauge? Anyone know?

if you are using the factory o2's for the guage it is narrow

As you can see from the first response, there are two ways to go....

1) Buy an "add-on" A/F ratio gauge from Autometer, or similar, that connects to your stock, narrow-band O2 sensor(s). This will provide you with very little useful information, but will provide a somewhat annoying psychedelic light show Costs about $50.

2) Buy a complete wide-band A/F ratio gauge, like the LM-1. Comes with its own wide-band sensor, a meter, interface to a PC for logging, etc. Will provide extremely useful info regarding the state of tune of your engine. Costs about $350.
