Installing a 96 camaro LT1 in a 305 buick roadmaster

I was wondering if anyone has done this, I am helping my buddy on the install. I know the roadmaster also came with a LT1, could I use that harness and would it be plug in play. The LT1 we are installing just has headers and a few bolt on etc, we want to get rid of the air pumps, but I don't know if we should convert the car from obd1 to obd2. I don't know if the 96LT1 we have, using the crank sesor couldn't be turned into obd1. Any pointers help etc would be nice. Anyone know where I can get a harness.

There's nothing to prevent you from running an OBD-II engine on an OBD-I PCM, other than the incompatible knock sensor, which can be fixed with a new knock sensor or modifying the PCM. The crank sensor can be left in place but not connected.
