installing a 383...

do you have to do machine work on the block to fit the 383 in an lt1? or does it fit right in?

machine shop, but what it sounds like your asking will it fit in the CAR? Its the exact same block, the crank is bigger and the bore .030 bigger. So its externally the same but internally more stroke and bore.l

300 bucks should be the most any machine shop should charge. Thats what i was charged and i thought that was high but then again this was the best machine shop in town.
