Are the injectors tied into the power distribution some how?
Are the injectors tied into the power distribution some how?
I just pulled my fuel rail and turned the car and they are not shooting out fuel. Anyone know if there is one wire I need to tie to ignition power or hot at all times power? Thanks.
By "turned the car" do you mean you turned the key to the "on" position, and no injectors fired? Makes sense... the injectors are fired by the PCM based on the low resolution pulse signal from the Optispark. If the engine isn't running there isn't any pulse signal, and there are no injectors fired.
The injectors always have +12V when the key is on (pink wire on each connector). The PCM fires them by supplying the ground. If you wanted to open an injector, all you need to do is ground it at the connector.
Might want to include the year of your car in questions like this... 93's for example are "batch fire" and all 4 injectors on each bank fire simultaneously.
