Injector size for a 383 solid roller
Injector size for a 383 solid roller
I am building a 383 solid roller engine, with heads that flow 310 cfm@650, solid roller 250/260@050, 110 LSA. 11.5 to 1 compression,36 lb seem to be at the limit doing an 80% duty cycle. are 42lb SVO too big? Can the on time be turned down enough to work on a street driven car in closed loop? I am stuck on this issue.

42# injectors should support close to 675 hp depending on your actual bsfc. Peak bsfc for my motor was .45. Some engines are bigger pigs than others, alot of which I've found to be a product of the cylinder head itself.... a much bigger deal on "wet" applications.

If i can run 72#s on the street you can run 42s for sure, and i think 42s would be good for your setup. And Please post non-advanced technical questions in a regular technical forum. Thank you.
Here is a decent calculator for you:

You should do a search, injector sizing gets covered every few days or so.
