Re: injector duty cycle

I am trying my best (and doing a pretty good job) not taking this personaly. althought calling bs is rather offensive and then to follow up with a coment that reads "this crap" makes it very hard. but i still have dyno sheets reading 600rwhp from a credible shop along to several witnesses. If that is considered crap then i guess i just have to live with my crap.

moving on from there as my original question reads

using datamaster my inj dc will spike up in to 95% but then come back down to 77%. do i need larger injectors? i am using 30# svo and the car makes 430 wrhp.

so with not regards to any nitrous i have an issue with injector dc spike. is a spike a problem? i am not maintaining a IDC over 80% if that was the case then i would need a bigger injector. but i am not maintaining that kind of IDC. with this condition do i still need a bigger injector?

Re: injector duty cycle

I understand what Fred meant, it really isn't like you made 600rwhp on 30# injs (Say you had a dry kit). Since it's wet the size injectors only come into play N/A so there is no point in bringing up what you made with nitrous. And maybe Fred Fred was grumpy

On the other subject... what was the spike from?

You completely misread my comments. I said, if you made 600rwHP on a dry nitrous system using 30# injectors at 43.5psi, I would raise the BS flag. You explained you had a wet system, and I should haul down the BS flag. I agree.... so far no problem.

And, I in NO WAY am questioning that you made 600rwHP. I fully accept your claim, and do not question it in any way.

What I am simply trying to point out is that is does no good, and serves no purpose in this thread to point out that you made 600rwHP on 30# injectors. You know that the injectors were still only providing fuel for 430 of those rwHP, and all the other fuel required for the nitrous to add another 170rwHP was supplied externally, and did not involve the 30# injectors in any way shape or form.

Some poor newby comes on here and reads "I made 600rwHP on 30# injectors" and doesn't reallize your not really making ALL of those 600rwHP on the injectors. But this guy THINKS he can run 30's in his 500rwHP setup, because you made 600rwHP with your 30's.

AGAIN!!!! I am not questioning your claim on HP, or your claim that you made it with 30# injectors. I am simply pointing out to people who may not be as familiar as you and I are with what's going on that it is not a relevant statement, and has absolutley nothing to do with how much HP you can make with 30# injectors.

Hope this clears it up.
