improving trap speed

my trap is usually around 96mph, granted we have a crappy track that's taking a couple mph off. typically, would changing to 3.73's improve my trap speed any? my goal is to be around 100 with only a few more mods. I'm getting a cutout, then tb bypass, gears, and possibly tc.

The cutout will help. 1.6rr seem to also help the trap speed. The 3.73s are more for lowering your et, they proably won't affect your trap speeds.

My car picked up 3 mph in the 1/4 when I went to 3.42s from 2.73s. Also 3/10ths faster. A definite positive mod. It put the car in its power band better. Think if you were launching a six speed car at 1100 and waiting too long to shift. The car would mph worse. It just makes sense.

btw a high stall tc will increase drivetrain loss and lower mph....but you et will decrease because of the harder launch, provided you have traction
