Ok, this summer I wanna do a cam swap and all involved. I want to do it myself, as it seems doable... jst trying to thoroughly cover all bases as I work toward the summer.

My current Q is about the timing set. Do I NEED to change it? Why do you change it... etc... under what circumstances. Could someone explain everything related to this issue?

at least get a stock replacement chain, and inspect the gears and see if they are OK.
