Impala Performance

I've got a bone stock 96 Impala. I'd like to get 325-350 NA at rwhp. What do I need, I'm on a budget!

A hot cam would be nice and would probably produce those numbers with some headers.

Right on. Get some gears also because these cars are heavy. 3.73s will do. 3.42s are alright but dont help with take off. Also go with a OBD1 from Bryan Heter at PCMforless.com. CAI is also a must. You got several choices from a homemade,RAISS and SSR which are the same but SSR is plastic and RAISS is aluminum. I have the Rammit which draws air from the bottom of the car. Great for high speed. But the Hot Cam will put you at those #s easy and you wont loose the drivablity. If you go larger than hot cam you will probably have to get a 3000 stall or better to make it go. Go to www.impalassforum.com and you will find everything there you need. Go luck and enjoy the last of the b--body collection. Oh I forgot put in for a t-56 tranny also. Mine should go in this summer. Nothing better than a big car shifting gears. So much fun.
