Silly question. I am starting another project, because of the steal of a deal i will be using a Impala SS engine. Can I do a LT4 hot cam kit in it and or use the LT4 ED timing set in it? This will be a all bolt on motor, no porting. BTW the Impala engine is a 96 that I have already planed to convert to ODB1 unless CATS gets off thier a** and make Tuner work with odb2. Any sugestions would be helpful. Also are the ports in the Impala still a D port? Thinking ahead to headers.

 

Seeing as it is the same shortblock as the f-body yes the ED timing set and HOT cam will work. The heads flow just as well as the best aluminums too so you do have a good starting point.
