and the o2 extensions too. Should I buy better ones? I'm trying to keep costs to a minimum.

I'd pick up a set of ARP bolts and felpro 1406's... you don't want leaks.

I had a severe budget when I did mine, and used the included bolts, gaskets, and extensions......The bolts started to rust, but the gaskets held fine. I replaced both around 8 months later when a rod bearing let go.....

I liked their bolts but mine got a little rusty. Their gaskets looked kind of cheesy though.

They get rusty, but its not lke their rotting away. Their gaskets are more than adequate. No leaks. I retourque mine anytime Im working on the car just to make sure their tight ( You cant fit a torque wrench on most of the bolts, so you guestimate it ) But at any rate, they always seem to have stayed snug. None are ever loose. No leaks.

And they DONT come with 02 extensions. You buy them seperatly.

I think he is referring to that cheap wire they send so you can cut your O2's

It is easier to just buy them and not have to worry about splicing.

I was looking at Percy's Dead Soft...but if I should go with Felpro's, why? I was just curious since they are the last things I need before I install finally.

The Fel Pro's are thick and hold up to heat very well. I work at an auto parts store and ordered a set myself. They work way better then what most companies send you in the header package. Plus their not that expensive so you should not run the risk of going over budget.

I used the gaskets and bolts it came with. The gaskets seem pretty crappy, but I put some Ultra Copper on mine and haven't noticed any leaks (been a year now). I also used their bolts and have no issues except some really orange surface rust spots. No problems with coming loose after the first few heat cycles which is expected.

I went with the Percy's dead-soft metal gaskets and love them, the supplied bolts on the other hand like to walk their way out ever so slowly.

Percy's and Fel-Pro's will do just fine. I never got the Fel-Pros to seal completely...I just put Percy's in the other day so I'll let you know how they hold up.

go with the felpro
o2 extensions= enough length of wire to cut and soder your own o2 sensor extension
bolts-did not use them

For the install I also recomend beer, choice of nicotine, and a box of assorted sizes of band aid

I used the bolts, but ARPs, Breslins, or Stage 8s would be a better choice. The Fel-Pro 1406s are also a good gasket upgrade as well as a pair of 12" 02 extensions as it is much easier then cutting, slicing, and extending your 02 harnesses.

I used aftermarket 12-piont bolts with the provision in the bolt heads for a hex wrench. Used the gaskets that came with the headers with some ultra copper silicone and no leaks. engine was out of the car so I know the bolts were torqued to spec.
