Im LOST when it comes to piston choice!!

Im doing a rebuild on my 355 and im having trouble finding what i need to order and what compression ratio i should shoot for considering my mods and the possible use of nitrous down the road.

Can anyone point me in the right direction as far what would work best. I still want to be able to drive car a couple days out of the week and i always use 93 octane. Does anyone have any links or number i can call?

I have to make the decision by tomorrow so i can make an order. Any help is appreciated!!!

I was looking at these but it says it is for 383 applications with 5.7 in rods.

those pistons are heavy as lead dave, takes some heavy metal to balance a stock lt1 crank against em.

to the op, if your use of nitrous is going to be inside of the usual ammount 150hp or so. just get a regular forged piston like mahle, srp, diamond, probe, etc etc etc. just put a good quality flat top piston in it and call it a day.

Who is building the motor? If it's someone else, talk to them. If not, there have to be more choices for SBC pistons than fleas on a dog. I guess that's your problem?

Anyway, you didn't specfy the cam you are going to use. Without knowing that, it's hard to be too specific about CR. But if it's going to run 93 octane, I'd recommend stock CR. That means flat tops. So many brands, so little time: JE/SRP, Probe, Diamond, Ross, Mahle, Wiseco, Manley, etc. The SRP would probably be a good choice for you. PN 138081 is for a 4.030" bore and a 5.7" stroke.

Mods are in sig and My price rang is about 600 bucks. There are just so many different types and i dont know which one to pick. I know i want about 11:1 compression and i will be running a 150 shot later in the year. The specs on my cam are 230/244 .544/.576 on 112lsa with 1.6 RRs.
