Arrow Ignition wires

While I have been running on 7 cylinders and not even knowing it... I thought it would be a good time to get some new wires, since one is broken in half.

I've heard bad about Taylor's 8mm and MSDs 8.5mm, anything good about them? Pros, cons...

I'll also soon have Jet Hot's LTs, maybe get the plug wires that go over the valve covers?

Any sites or suggestions will help! I'm also using an MSD 6+ with my current wires. Do you guys think that could have anything to do with my split wire or just coincidence? Seemed to happen not to long after the install of it

Thanks

I have the Taylor Wires... perfect fit too. With the Stock inginition there wasnt any change to my perfornance. I have had them in for about two years now. they look and feel just as I pulled them out of the box when they were new. I must admit it is a B. I. T. C. H. to route the wires. I was able to do one underneath the metal plate that covers the original wire that goes to the last plug on the Driver side. That took me a long time to do it right and by the way ..... thats the easy side.

No complaints on quality. Perfornance wise?? I did not feel a thing.

MSD

the msd wires work great, but i had a hard time making them fit into the stock wire holders. on the driver side they are ok, but on the other they have to rout right behind a pulley. there is four slots for them to go in but because they are 8.5 they don't want to fit. they will work but need some tie raps.

the LTs are the culprit for the split wire. Some OVCs will do you good.

And.....how the heck can you have a split wire (no juice to the cylinder) and not know it? Thats crazy man.....

i just did MSD 8.5s to my formula. man it wasnt easy at all. the number seven plug was horrible and the whole passenger side was a pain. i thought length should have been better since they were supposed to be for LT1 fbodies, but it wasnt bad. the longest wire goes to the number seven plug not eight if you get the MSDs. for the passenger side youll have to do them in order as they go behind the pulleys. the top one first then down. and start at the opti and go from there. that way you wont be pulling everything back out of the looms to pull them tighter or loosen them up. good luck and honestly if you have to shove your arm between the engine and bay on the passenger side. get yourself some liquid soap and put it on your forearm so that itll slide better and not get torn up like mine. good luck. I didn't feel a miss or anything and she still felt strong

Installing the wires shouldn't be that big of a deal. Car's in the air and I'll be doing a longtube swap at the same time, so I dunno.

I'll probably end up using the MSDs, good sites to get them from?

Its just hard for me to imagine that.... I notice a different idle when I put mid ranged gas in my car. She's smoooooth as a babie bottom though when she idles with premium, so I'd notice right away. Good Luck with the wires.....
