At the moment I have the stock manifolds with an open y-pipe and no cat and its pretty damn loud adn I get absolutely no trouble from police, I was wondering since I wont have a y-pipe or and exhaust system on when I get headers, most likely longtubes, how much louder if any would it be. I hear people saying it doesnt get louder with headers just a cleaner better sound, but dont know if the same goes for open longtubes...

 

trust me it will be fuggin LOUD!!!!!!!!

 

I just put on longtubes, I went to a dual-cat setup though, but it was not noticeably louder.

Open longtubes will be loud. LT's with a cutout was quite a bit louder than my duals I have now.
