My 97z just got put back together after buying it with a blown HG it started up fine when it had the Blown HG.Now i crank it like 4-5 times for like 5-6sec each time with nothing i smell fuel.Then after a few more it starts popping like it wants to start THEN it will start after a few more trys and shut off, unless i give it some gas. Now after a few times of starting it again the car stayed on idling high, then went down to normal idle for about 15-20sec then shut off. The other day i got it started drove it ripped on it a few gears shut it off and back on no problem then pulling into my complex bam died.
