Ignition Coil Best / Easiest to install

Ok after i stayed awake an extra hour last night only to have some a-hole come in on the last second and outbid me on a Crane LX-92 coil with maf & TRC. I now need to order a coil from jegs or summit.

I have Crane Cames Hi6R iginition. Crane recommends LX-92 yet msd and accel makes good coils to.

So which coil is a direct plug in? I have plenty of skills with wiring yet I don't like doining it to my car.. I like to keep the a stock type apperance.

Money is not an issue though I don't think for a weekend toy that never drag raced needs a 100.00 coil! I would like to keep with crane or accel only because I have crane system and accel wires. But it doesn't really matter.

So what do you have (model number) and was it a direct plug in?

Thanks for the info

What year is your car. I have used a Crane PS-91 coil for 3 years with no problems. It was a direct plug and play. HTH

Its a 1995 six speed with a vortech supercharger. Not that it matters I'll be using accel 9000 plug wires and NGK tr6 plugs.

My buddy stayed with his stock coil with his Crane box on his S/C Formula. He said they where alot more reliable and just as good. From personal experience I couldn't tell you first hand I still have a GM coil on a N/A car.

The cars is a 1995 model and has been using the Crane ignition since then. I figure the stock coil has done its job and would rather replace it before it dies on the road.
Don't really want to have my lowered Callaway pulled off the side of the road.
