ignition

I was wondering How can you tell if ignition is starting to go out, I tried to start it today and it didnt start on first try on 2 try it did, first time it just didnt do nothing then second fired right up.

Could be anything, opti, starter, low battery. What do you mean by wouldn't start the first time?

WELL I engage the clutch and it just doesnt start ignition I meant, then I turn key back and it fires right up.

I would say that your fuel pump is starting to go. When you put the key in the run position, the fuel pump runs for 2 seconds. When you turn it off and then put it back in the run position, it runs for 2 more seconds. So it's probably your pump. Do a fuel pressure test. Try turning the key off, then on (with out cranking it) and then off then on, then crank it. See if it will start right up.

My freind has a scan tool what can we see on that that will tell us fuel pressure.

a scan tool will not read fuel pressure. but i agree thats a good place to start. when was the filter changed last?
