if the bearings arent bad do i have to turn the crank??

if the bearings arent bad do i have to turn the crank??

ok so last night i was looking at my rod/main bearings and there not really that bad....so when i replace them do i have to have the crank truned/polished

You can probably get away with having it polished if the journals all look good. Have a shop look at your crank and they can tell you for sure.

ok cool i apprecite you input...btw how do i remove the balancer hub off the crank??/ im puzzled

Have a shop mic your crank and resize if necessary. That way you will get the correct bearings.

ok so i tried removing the hub and it got to a point were i was just turning the hub on the crank and it wasn't coming off...so i got a longer bolt and put it in the hole and i got it to come off....why was the hub turning on the crank? i looked and i see a key way hole on the crank but i didn't find a key way? did i ruin something? now im nervous

LT1 hubs are not keyed to the crank. You will see a keyway on the crank, but no key slot on the hub.
