Idle problems

Hey peoples. I posted on this problem sometime ago and never found an answer. I can't seem to find that thread now. 6+ months ago. I would like to find a fix because it's annoying as heck. Thanks

Cold or warm doesn't matter. In park, I idle about 1000rpm. In drive, about 900. When I change from Park to Drive the idle drops below 700rpm for a sec and almost stalls the car. It then corrects itself and goes to 900rpm. The opposite occurs going back into Park. The idle shoots up to about 1300rpm for a sec and corrects itself to 1000rpm. My pcm idle points are 1000prm and 900prm for Park and Drive respectively.

I have had this problem since I installed my heads, cam, and headers. I assume it's an IAC problem. My IAC is working I believe, it just seems slow to correct I guess. No sure though. I did clean the TB when it was off during the install. I installed all new gaskets, cleaned everything well, etc. Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks
JD

Re: Idle problems

What's your vacuum level and what are the IAC counts in idle and drive.
