Idle Problems

I've done some research here on the board on this problem, but after reading the posts I'm more confused than when I started. My car has been idling fairly low since the cam install, but it was at least liveable. Now it's getting to be a major PITA, because I have to "pop" the accelerator every time I stop for it to even have a chance to stay running. If I turn on my AC it's impossible.

It appears that it's trying to idle because when I stop at a light it will drop below 500 and I can see and hear the computer trying to compensate. Sometimes the computer catches up with it and the RPM's will jump up to around 700 or 800 RPM, (TACH). I can also hear it sucking air through the FIPK when it starts to idle on its own.

I have a heads cam car with the GM847, I'm running a 58mm Edelbrock TB with 30lb SVO's. The car has a PCMForLess tune and I have Datamaster. What IAC counts should I look for and would it help to slightly adjust the TB idle screw? I can email a Datamaster file after I play with the car this morning to anyone that would be willing to help.

Thanks.

Mark

If you can hear the suckign than theres a 99% chance the butterflys are set too low for your motor and the IAC can't keep up.

turn the screw so the butterflys are open a bit more
