my car was running fine and i was letting it warm up sitting in the drivway and i went outside and all of the sudden blue smoke started comming out of the exhaust the moter still runs just fine but at idel it smokes vey badly what could have happend? also there is not water in the oil but where you poor oil in the engine when you take the cap off it looks milky only at the top of the engine.there is no water in the lower end

 

The milky apparance in the cap is normal.Alittle condenation.As for the smoke it could be a lot of things,rings ,valve seals wold be my first guesses.Did you have gas in the oil?

 

i was having a problem with gas in my oil but i belive i fixed that problem and the car is running great but know all the sudden there is blue smoke .its making me sick how could rings all the sudden go bad sitting there ideling

 

i'd pull the valve covers and check you valve seals first, they are cheap and easy to replace!!!!!

 

car only has 85,000 miles on it

 

What color is the smoke? blue=flooding, grey=oil, white=coolant.

 

now i just went out side and it wasnt smoking at idel ,but when i reved it up and let off, it blew some smoke .also the car was hard to start and normally it starts right up but it still runs great after it started what is goin on please help!!!

 

Wrong. Blue would be burning oil, grey or black smoke would be a rich running condition, and white would be coolant.
