Haha yeah I have thought of these things too but the problem I am running into is prices.....9 grand is a lot to have but these companies want like $1400 for install, $280 for rear installs, $2600 for the rears themselves, over 3 grand for the engine packages and so on and so on and before I know it they've quoted me like 15 grand of work for a simple top end kit or whatever. What I'd like is around 380-400 at the wheels N/A and maybe a 125 shot to boot. The suspension has a few things done. A 12 bolt has to be part of the mix and I'd prefer an upgraded driveshaft with it. Haha and a shifter too cause this hurst is suckin! Does anyone know where I can find this setup for a budget of about $9000-$11000??? It seems easy but I've been round and round with so many companies already so. I've considered the LT4 setup from scoggins-dickey or whatever, does anyone have any expierience with it? I've heard its somewhere around 425hp crank. Haha alright sorry for the length here guys, thanks for the help though.....much appreciated

LT4 conversion isn't worth the money, you can have better for the same price and make more power.

Not sure on the install prices, I guess that's your problem. I'd spend it ALL on parts, install myself. Try and find some local F-bod guys to help install the new stuff, most will help out and won't charge you an assload.

Heads and cam will hit the power goal, maybe a few other bolt-ons like headers, etc. Rear end and nitrous kit is fairly easy to install. And you won't spend $9K either. Probably around $6K on parts? And then add in a few cases of beer... and that's it.

Anyways, keep looking... This shouldn't cost $9K (close to 400rwhp NA with a N2O kit and good rearend).

Dont pay people to do work on your car. When I bought my car, I didnt know much beyond how to change brakes and oil.
Since that time, I have managed to do multiple trans swaps, converter installs, header installs and exhaust systems, shaved the doorhandles, and did a head and cam swap(had a little help, on that, but did 95% on my own) and I am currently working on a 383 in my diningroom.

When you pay to have your car worked on, it costs a fortune, the work isnt always what you expected, and they NEVER get your car done on time. Save money, gain knowledge.

With 9000 in your pocket, and doing the install work yourself(with some f-bod friends), you could have a forged piston low compression 355CI turbo motor, fuel system, built trans and a 9" rear. May even have enough left for all the gauges and tuning costs.
