Basically what this guy on eBay is doing is selling you a 20-cent Radio Shack 4.7Kohm resistor that you plug into the connector for the IAT sensor. This does little, if anything on the 94 and up LT1. It may give you a little more timing advance when inlet air temperetures start to get very high - and that would put you at risk of detonation/knock retard. It also might eliminate the problem of "heat soak", which may retard timing when the stock sensor in the stock location get overheated by engine bay heat, and does not reflect the true incoming air temperature.

This is one of those typical mods that gets debated endlessly, and never really gets resolved. Several people have "dyno'd" the mod and lost HP. Others have tried it at the track, and found near-miraculous ET improvments.

You can accomplish pretty much the same thing by relocating your stock IAT sensor away from the engine heat. People with CAI setups often move it to the filter.

If you want to try the 4.7Kohm resistor, go to Radio Shack and buy a pack of 5 for $1.00.... give the other 4 to your friends. In any case, do not buy this from an eBay scammer.

I appreciate the info, it was clear and to the point. I will not buy from him, i will buy from radio shack. Get me a radio shack sticker for the back window. I do appreciate the help.
