Hey guys I just want to know who has the fastest times on the cc305 cam with stock heads and boltons. I am about to install it and was wondering.

 

I've seen mid-high 12s at around 108-112 on that cam on stock heads

 

97Bowtie has a good CC305 time with stock heads.

I'm aiming for VERY low 12s w/ my setup (stock heads, 3.42 stock gears, CC305, full weight). We'll see though, I haven't run with slicks yet. Don't want to build it up then run a 12.9 So shhhhhhhhhh!!

 

ProjectZ has gone 11.9's with the cc305 and a bolt on lt1,stock heads.

 

I have run a 12.03 with home ported heads I dont think it would be that much of a difference with unported.

 

Didnt altjar only run 11.98 with the gm847? What did ProjectZ have that gave him that much of an advantage with a smaller cam?

 

Suspension, my friend, suspension. I believe that ProjectZ was cutting somewhere in the area of a low 1.5 high 1.4 short time. Chime in if I'm wrong anyone.

 

Yeah I beleive altjar doesnt have much in the way of suspension mods, he's also running a full weight car.
His mph was good too.

 

I just cut a 12.44 @ 109 last weekend with the cc305 with a 1.6 60'. Thats with some of the bolt-ons, and the stock 3.23's.

 

Did any of you change any of the fuel componets with the cc305?
I have the cc305 with all the comp componets and ported heads, 1.6 crane gold rockers, bbk headers a 3300 vig, 2.73 gear, everything but a CAI. The computer is an OBD1 from madz28.com. My car is SO slow. Its slower than stock. Its got the mistery skip from idle to 23k. Any suggestions on how to make this a 12 second ride like yalls? Maybe more fuel, or something. I aint giving up on this car, to much money invested!!!

 

Hey all you guys, how lopey is the cc305 at idle? I cant wait to get minue in and hear it, I know it wont be to much due to the 114 LSA but does it still lope?

sean1997ws6 any codes associated with the lack of power? how is the opti? is it running rich or lean how does the car run besides the lack of power? I didnt change my fuel pump or injectors at all and it ran low 12's I only recently changed my pump for the nitrous. The cam does have a decent lope to it aspecially if you use 1.6 rockers.

 

its running really lean, the opti is about a month old. I am going to put a CAi on it friday, and i am going to order a new coil. I think a 3.73 will help out some too. I think i just got a lot of bugs in the motor, its got about 500 miles to it. the transmission is a Probuilt auto with 300 miles on it now. Thanks for the info man
