iac not moving

i pulled the iac because the car was idleing at 2grand. so i pluged it into another car and it moved in and out. but when i plug it into my car and turn the key on and off it will not move at all. i checked all the fuses and reset the computer but still no luck. any ideas?

Re: iac not moving

this all started after i put a piece of cardboard over the throttle bodie to lower the idle, just to see where i wanted the idle set at. but it would not run worth a crap so i pulled the card board off. when i pulled the cardboard off it went back to idle. the next morning i started it and it would not idle down.

which wires should be getting voltage?

Re: iac not moving

I would check it with a scanner to see what it is commanding the IAC to do.

I guess you have a bad computer. Put the other back in and see if it still fails.
