People have hit 12.2's w/ those mods (and shorty headers), so a 13.0 car w/ those mods is not impressive.

Re: I want to run 12.7

Fastest is at like a 12.7 I believe, Its not impresive but a 13.0 for a cat back, cold air, gear converter car is about what it should run consistant for those mods maybe dip in to a high 12.

Re: I want to run 12.7

A 12 second car is verry fast imo. I was verry excited and impressed when i ran a 14.4 stock. It was my first and only time to a track granted. Most of the mustangs and camaros when i went(highschool nationals)we running high 14's low 15's and their were around 1,000 people with cars. Hopefully when my car is done ill dip into 12's. Then i can finally get that peksy neon srt4 that allways beats me.

What size stall you running and what other mods do you have? 105MPH is bad *** for a stock manifold car

Re: I want to run 12.7

I would hope your built tranny has a nice converter in it. Now get sticky tires, headers, better catback, good cold air induction, and lighten up the car.

I know of a few cars running mid 12's with bolt ons, so its very possible, even without a converter.

Although the cheapest way is N2O.

There is a million different ways to get the times he wants, but he asked for the cheapest route. N2O is the cheapest, hands down. For ~$1000 he could buy and install N2O and run those times.

THose must be freaks and fresh motors....a 12.2??? My car has yet to go under 13.5 with a 1.78 60' I really wish someone could find out my problem.

You guys make it sound like 12.2's are nothing....with bolt-on's. I would like to see someone run a 12.2 straight out first run with just bolt-on's....yes it can be done....but it can't be repeated as easily as you state here.

Re: I want to run 12.7

I know a fellow with a LT1 M6. CAI/LT/Catback/4.10's, DR, carbon fiber DS and a few other small mods running 12.4X Of course I wish I could be there. It can be done but patience is key.

Whoa, i didnt know there was a video of me, sweet!! Unfortunatley in my cars old age I think she is starting to die off The last time at the track the best I could pull was a 13.1 @103.xx It may be the opti though so i may change that out in the spring. Regardless I am thinking about building a LE3, stock block and a bigger stall. Until I get the turbo motor done of course

Oh and I have a vig 2800 and 3.73 gears, full race weight minus skinnies for the 12.7.

It has been repeated numreous time's by a number of other people.. SOmthing in your car is causing it to run that way.. Whether it's the tune up or the driver.. Hard to say!
