I think I'm going to use the copper header gaskets that came with my MAC's
Seems like no matter what header gasket I see recommended, someone has had them leak.
I fugure, what the heck, the one's that came with my MAC's look like a very nice copper gasket.
I'm also going to use the header bolts that came with them.
I may regret it later, but it's worth a try. They look like 1" bolts with a 3/8 head.
What do you guys think. Anyone done this before? Seems like everyone is getting fel-pro, dead soft aluminum, Stock GM gaskets.. and using Stage 8's or splitlocks...

In all honesty I would just bite the bullet and use some GM header gaskets with the swap. If you decide to run Stage 8 header bolts with your setup you will have to modify the washers that come with the kit.
I don't know what coper gaskets Mac includes with their headers, buy every coper gasket I've used so far has been awsome with no sealing problems. I'm going to buy them for my AS&M headers when I put them on.
Dan,
Iv'e tried several different combinations of header gaskets
and bolts.
FWIW
this is what has worked best for me.
Earl's dead soft aluminum gaskets with a 2" cap screw
with a 1" brass sleeve (available at sears hardware)
NO leaks, I have good access to tighten all bolts
and it looks trick.
Shoot me a PM if you'd like some pics.
