If your INCHARGE like dal is YES you are the one who takes responsibility. thats why we put people and charge and pay them more.

If you are frustrated FINE, leave it at the counter and visa versa never bring the frustration from work home, leave it at the door. I do not know Dal, or have ever dealt with him, so i have no personal experiences however i have dealt with many people, and have had similar interactions. I know people have bad days, and especially since its monday after a holiday weekend, so im sure many would understand that, but if this were a more frequent thing, than the problem lies with the seller, not the buyer. I hope all works out for everyone in that situation!
good luck getting everything working. and guilt tripping the customer is VERY messed up.

Got valium??? One thing is obvious, you're making this out to be WAY bigger than it is. You got a bad part, obviously by mistake...big deal, it happens...contact the company and give them a FAIR chance to correct the situation BEFORE blasting them on a message board where they have an EXCELLANT reputation. If AFTER attempting to resolve it in a REASONABLE manner, you're still not happy, then feel free to fire away.
You have to "question the motives of those sticking up for him"?? Keep in mind that we're only hearing YOUR side of the story, and it virtually contradicts EVERY dealing the rest of us have ever had with Dal over many years, so naturally lots of satisfied people are going to debate that.
BTW, your other post on the same topic was much more reasonable and probably could/should have stopped at that...at least until after they had a chance to correct the situation.

If you want to buy from Jason Cromer next time, do. There are people that have not had good dealings with him as well (and/or have trouble reaching him). There probably is not a person around here that has not had some problem with some supplier at some time. The negative posts always get the ink. The positive one's don't get as much.
It's nice that everyone is free to buy from whomever they like.
It's frustrating to get caught up in a bad situation that is not your fault.

I have ordered from Dal over 20 times with no problems.
In fact one time I ordered an opti when I did not need it and he let me send it back and credited my card 100%, most places will never do that and charge 10% or more restocking.
Could have been some idiot clerk who wanted to get home quick and get high so he just stuffed the box with whatever he saw first.

Thanks for keeping us updated. If Dal truly did react the way you say he did then I will never give him any of my business. That is truly unprofessional and actually pretty sad. I don't care whether he was having a bad day or not, he acted like a complete a**hole and I have no time or patience to deal with someone like that. Even if it turns out alright(I use this term VERY loosely), I will go somewhere else for my parts based solely on his s**tty attitude.

I'm in agreement with this guy. That was the first thing that came to my mind when I read this post.
Re: I think i just got screwed by dal slabaugh [lockitup@bright.net]
If they would have simply checked the starter before sending it out, something that takes less than 5 seconds and is easier than scratching your nose, they would not only have SOLVED the problem right there and then, but they would have also be sure of any suspiciouns they had.
Re: I think i just got screwed by dal slabaugh [lockitup@bright.net]
MY brother just pointed something GREAT out.... i wish i would have thoght of this before. FOR ALL YOU THAT THINK IM TRYNG TO RIP DAL OFF THEN I HAVE PHYSICAL PROOF THAT ITS HIS STARTER. THE BOX HE SENT HAS A PART NUMBER AND A SERIAL NUMBER THAT MATCHES THE PART THAT WAS SENT TO ME. IF YOU WANT ANY PICTURES OF THIS FEEL FREE TO ASK ME. IT ALSO MATCHES THE SHIPPING LABEL ATTATCHED TO THE BOX

That still may not be enough proof for half of these people...
