I think I have an Opti problem?

Hi, I have a stock stock '94 Z-28. The only mods this cars has are a K&N air filter and a tpi air foil. The car has 87,000 origianl miles and I have owned the car since it had 60,000 miles. Yesterday the Florida Panhandle was hit with some major flash floods, co-insidentally my car would not start. I checked underneath car and noticed starter casing was cracked, so I replaced starter. I start car, no problems, then I notice it sounds like it is missing. I put car in gear and then it dies. Car will not restart. I change starter at auto parts store just in case I have a bad starter, put new starter in and car starts, put it in gear and it dies. Engine will turn over and sound likes it wants to start, but won't? I don't live in a flood zone and water did not come up to my engine, but there was a ton of water dropped in our area. I can hear pump priming and car acts like it wants to start? Any suggestions on what to do or where to start? I know these cars have opti problems, I am thinking it is probablly time for one? i have done basic stuff like making sure car has oil, gas, checked fuses. Any help would be appreciated?

If you can you need to check for spark at the plugs if you are not getting any spark it could be either coil or Opti. Good luck. You can get a spark tester at an auto parts store that goes into the spark plug end of the wires and then you have to ground it to check for spark.
