I think i blew up my t-56! HELP!

OK, so im going down the road at about 35 and i ease into the pedal to get up to 40. and i hear this Horrable clunking. SO i pull off with my g/f. Get out of my car and look around underneath thinking i hit something, or somethings stuck up there. (mind you its about 10pm so its dark) nothing.. So i start to go again.. first gear feels fine till i get to 2k. makes the Horable clunk and some other smaller hitting sounds.. and it feels like its in the trans or close to it. I can feel the clunk in the shifter i think(dont remeber now cuz ive played it through my head so much) Im thinking it might be a mount or my driveshaft. How can i check my driveshaft. This is sucky, i cant drive the thing. What can i check for and what other info can i give you too help me on my escapade.. i dont think its the trans (well i hope not)... any ideas?

im told the t56 is pretty bullit proof, so im guessing thats not it? i just did the clutch about 1500 ago. mabey more, i dunno if that has anything to do with it. Im just confused and upset I want it working, tonight when i get home from work ima jack it up and take a good look at everything. Ideas of what else to look for would be appreciated

Do you have a poly torque arm mount? A buddy of mine had one that fell off at the track and his torque arm was flopping around and making the same noises you are talking about.

i would first check the tranny mount. I have repleaced mine twice before switching to a poly mount. i would doubt it's the the tranny the T56 is really solid.

I vote for the trans mount or the torque arm mount as previously suggested. If it's neither of those then check the u joints on the drive shaft.. have you ever replaced them?

I'll put my money on the trans mount since that's the same things I experienced when mine broke. At first we thought it was the rear-end too.

Just to clarify the Bulletproof thing...you have a 93...which is a good bit weaker than the 94-97 version. I think yours is rated at 330 lb-ft of torque vs. 94-97 450. But that does sound kinda like a tranny mount.
