i-pipe & crossmember rattle

since i had my hooker cat back installed, the i-pipe rattles on the crossmember. i took it back and they just seemed to bend at it and hope for the best. well it worked but it starts whenever i get above 85 mph and will then continue for a while afterwards. so my question is this:

What can i do to stop the pipe from rattling on the cross member? i am looking for a more permanent fix then a temporary fix (dont want to be doing it every week).

thanks

I assume you are talking about the sheet metal "g-load" brace that connects the opposite sides of the driveshaft tunnel. You can drop the brace with spacers to provide extra clearance. I wouldn't go bending it.

Also might want to look for the source of the vibration above 85mph... could it be a driveshaft problem that is causing everything under there to start vibrating?

Check the support bracket for the cat.... is it firmly attached? That bracket also connects to the tranny/TA bushing setup, so the driveshaft is suspect.
